Position Summary:
The Life Enrichment Operations Specialist serves as a key operational and field support partner to Regional Life Enrichment leadership, community teams, and interdisciplinary leaders. This role is responsible for driving excellence in Life Enrichment execution, supporting community operations, developing team members, ensuring process consistency, and advancing strategic initiatives across multiple communities. The Operations Specialist acts as a trainer, communicator, project leader, and culture ambassador while helping communities deliver exceptional resident experiences aligned with company standards and business goals.


Required Experience for Life Enrichment Operations Specialist:

  • Demonstrated commitment to 1440 culture and mindset, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Minimum one to three years of experience in a Life Enrichment Director role preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with Regional team.
  • Proven success in Life Enrichment leadership or multi-site operational support.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly to support multiple communities regionally, with occasional travel to partner regions.
  • Experience with budgeting, training systems, digital tools, and project management preferred.
  • Proficient in general computer skills.


Primary Responsibilities for Operations Specialist:

  • Partner with Regional leaders on functional support needs while ensuring follow-up on designated goals and priorities.
  • Conduct site visits, complete Excellence Reviews, and provide hands-on coaching to maintain Life Enrichment standards and operational readiness.
  • Provide hands on training for new and existing Life Enrichment leaders, support transitions, and improve learning materials to strengthen retention and performance.
  • Act as the Life Enrichment Director at a community during a vacancy to maintain functional standards.
  • Maintain timely, professional communication with leaders and interdisciplinary teams to ensure alignment, problem-solving, and continuity of resident experience.
  • Lead special projects, support committees, and contribute to cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Oversee digital signage setup, access, training, and optimization.
  • Support of budget and operational requirements to stay aligned with business goals.
  • Attend and lead Life Enrichment meetings and functional calls to ensure awareness, consistency, and execution across the region.
  • Adhere to and uphold all standards in the Employee Handbook.
  • Travel to assigned communities which may include overnight stays during the week (Mon-Fri)


General Working Conditions:
This position entails standing for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to communicate effectively with others, sit, stand, walk and use hands to handle keyboard, telephone, paper, files, and other equipment and objects. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to review detailed documents and read computer screens. The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The work environment requires appropriate interaction with others. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Occasional travel to different locations may be required.
